Why Vuvox
Dimensions of the problem |
Attributes of the tool |
Strategies |
Provide easy access from several computers in order to allow students to work from home
After creating a log in for Vuvox you can simple store all of your photos on your Vuvox and edit them right from any computer
Incubation - students will need some time to reflect, having them be able to access Vuvox at anytime will help them add ideas when they come to them
Easily add video and pictures
I was very amazed that Vuvox allows you to connect to you Flickr or other photo storage software easily or you can simply upload your pictures and videos to Vuvox so you can access them at anytime
Trail and error- I used this strategy more than the students have but I took a look at many different video editting software for the students and found this one was the best, I will also encourage the students to take a look beyond Vuvox as well.
Free for students
I would not be able to convince students to work on something they had to pay for, so it was awesome that Vuvox is free and doesn't limit things for their users.
Compare and contrast - students and I looked into a few different softwares before deciding on the specific tool. It was easy to use, easy to sign up and free!
Add Music
It was great the Vuvox allows the students to add music. It is very easy to do and edit right on the Vuvox collage screen.
Again, compare and contrast. Although some tools were great, it was very difficult to figure out how to add music
Easy to share
Vuvox can be public shared for free through facebook, email and blogs. I found it would be best for the students to share with each other so I made an extra piece to the assignment to add their Vuvox to a website
This strategy was a little bit away from Vuvox, in that I had to compare and contrast web hosting sites in order to find a easy webpage creator for my students to post thier Vuvoxs. This allows students to share with anyone they like at anytime.
